Wigz Laguna

Wigz is a sandwich shop in Laguna Beach that serves sandos in what used to be a wig shop. Owner, Zac wanted to honor the location’s history with both the name and the mark, and create a brand that would become a beloved part of the Laguna Beach community.
The visual brand pulls inspiration from vintage Americana and rock bands, using muted colors, retro stripes, checkerboard patterns, and a thick script logo. The logo was lettered by hand and digitized in both a flat and 3D version.
A nod to the wig shop appears in the branding with an icon of a character in a short red bobbed wig. The Wigz team has taken their branding a step further by purchasing a similar wig to use in brand photography.
